The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has identified 68 major U.S. bridges across 19 states—among them San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge—as requiring urgent vulnerability assessments. The concern stems from the potential for catastrophic collapse if one of these structures were struck by a ship, as tragically happened with Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge.
NTD discussed with Paul Fix III, an Automotive Journalist from Car Coach Reports, to analyze the report.
