Captain America: Brave New World is nearly in theaters, but that has not stopped Marvel Studios from unveiling new footage from the anticipated picture. One of the more surprising elements in the film, Harrison Ford as president Thunderbolt Ross aka Red Hulk, has been a major focus in marketing thus far. And the latest preview of the upcoming MCU film is doing the iconic villain justice in more ways than one. Red Hulk does his best Donald Trump impression by crashing out and destroying a national landmark and everything it stands for — the White House.
In a new teaser released by Marvel Studios, Ford’s angry red alter-ego is seen destroying the White House as he prepares to battle Sam Wilson’s Captain America (Anthony Mackie). It continues to be unclear why exactly he is hulking out and fighting the nation’s hero, but the latest sneak peek gives a few more seconds of Red Hulk from his reportedly minimal appearance in the film. At the very least, it seems Captain America: Brave New World will live up to its title and reset the status quo of the world and a divided nation. Any similarities with reality are likely coincidences, but it’s hard not to see the connection.
In the fourth Captain America film, Ford will be replacing the late William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a former general (and now U.S. president) who made his MCU debut in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Although he is typically an antagonist for Bruce Banner aka Hulk, several green-meanie-related villains will form part of Brave New World. The Incredible Hulk star Tim Blake Nelson makes his return as Samuel Sterns, this time as his villainous alter-ego, The Leader.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Popcorn Buckets Put the Smash in Red Hulk
Captain America: Brave New World is entering the ultimate race for theatrical supremacy (and we’re not only talking about box office). That’s right, the upcoming sequel will be participating in the popcorn bucket wars, currently dominated by Dune: Part Two‘s infamous sandworm bucket. Not only will Red Hulk be giving out popcorn from his back, but audiences will be able to fend off enemies with their own Captain America shield. No word if the latter is made out of vibranium, though.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’s Budget Is Not as Expensive as Rumored (But It’s Still Not Cheap)
The rumored budget for the fourth ‘Captain America’ movie has been greatly exaggerated.
Another popcorn bucket for Captain America: Brave New World is in the shape of the star-spangled hero’s helmet, which he equips when in-flight using his vibranium-powered wings. In all seriousness, the Red Hulk bucket is probably the best option out of the bunch, and could double as a detailed statue if not used for popcorn consumption. AMC Theatres, Cinemark Theaters and Alamo Drafthouse are among those participating in this promotion, with the latter releasing special cups for the film. Of course, the success of Brave New World is not beholden to whether the promotional merch sell out in theaters, but it’s hard to dismiss the intentional efforts by Marvel Studios to promote their latest sequel.
Captain America: Brave New World is projected to make around $85 to $95 million over the Valentine’s Day weekend, well below its reported $180 million budget, but the prediction puts it on pace to make its money back.
