This two-day event is designed to elevate Macao as a dynamic, youthful, and culturally diverse destination, reaching millions of followers with unique content and interactive experiences.
A Cultural Extravaganza to Open the Event
The event kicked off with the Enchanting Macao Carnival, which took place on June 14 at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. The carnival featured an array of cultural performances, including dance, martial arts, and interactive entertainment, all combining to celebrate Macao’s unique mix of traditional and modern influences. The festivities aimed to showcase not only the city’s tourism attractions but also its “tourism +” initiative, which merges culture, food, and heritage with tourism.
As a key part of the event, the influencers shared their experiences through live video streams, captivating their millions of followers by giving them an insider’s view of the vibrant atmosphere in Macao.

In partnership with Douyin’s Ocean Engine and the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), this large-scale influencer event marks a first for the city, tapping into the digital space to engage young, tech-savvy travelers. The event features a range of experiences, including the carnival, “Enchanting Salon”, an industry talk on June 15, and the Enchanting Highlight Tour, where influencers and their fans will explore off-the-beaten-path locales in Macao.

Throughout the event, 200 influencers, with combined followings totaling over 300 million, posted content about their time in Macao, sharing personal experiences from both well-known attractions and hidden spots. Influencers with over 10 million followers each played a pivotal role in rebranding Macao as a youthful and culturally vibrant destination.
By highlighting Macao’s local crafts, culinary delights, and scenic spots through short-form videos and interactive content, these influencers have helped shape the city’s modern image, one that resonates with young travelers looking for unique and authentic travel experiences.

To honor the influencers who have made significant contributions to the campaign, four ambassadors were awarded titles based on their storytelling and engagement:
