House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Sunday that he believes he has the Republican votes to end a partial government shutdown by at least Tuesday.
That’s following a partial government shutdown began on Saturday, after Congress failed to approve a deal to keep a wide range of operations funded ahead of a midnight deadline.
