While Avengers: Doomsday is already building what should be the most star-studded cast of actors in comic-book movie history, Avengers: Secret Wars has a chance to go even further. Teased to be the biggest film ever made in this genre, directors Joe and Anthony Russo are planning an epic conclusion to the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, which will center on Doctor Doom’s continuing efforts to take down the entire multiverse. The sixth Avengers movie could trigger a massive MCU reboot, leading to new actors being cast as characters fans already know and love from the past 18 years.
Outside of Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor Von Doom, only a handful of characters have been reported to join this film’s cast or confirmed to appear. This includes some shocking names, such as Sadie Sink’s yet-to-be-revealed character from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but the roster for this new film is expected to outdo what Marvel already has planned for Doomsday. Looking ahead, things may start to get even more wild from here.
Instagram user @comiconmomsi posted a reel featuring audio from a message she received from MCU regular Chris Evans. Asking himself what he could tease from his MCU return, which will start with a role in Avengers: Doomsday, he teased that he would be returning once again for Avengers: Secret Wars. While there is a chance the message could be fake, he seemed to reveal that he will begin working on Secret Wars in “a couple of months:”
“I can’t give secrets, I can’t. What can I give you, though? I can tell you that…I start work on the next one in a couple of months, I can tell you that.”
