Prince Harry has disappeared from public view for 41 days, prompting whispers of a full-scale royal vanishing act. Australian royal commentator Danielle Elser said: “Missing: One duke. Last seen in April, answers to ‘Aitch’, likes his crusts cut off. We’re hardly up to slap-his-face-on-a-milk-carton territory, but this duke has, for some reason, gone dark.”
Ms Elser noted the absence of podcasts, interviews, veterans’ outings, lawsuits, polo or BetterUp appearances, with the only recent glimpses coming via Meghan’s Instagram anniversary smooch and $89 “surrounded by love and laughter” candle.
She contrasted this with the Sussexes’ role at the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, when they still joined royal events, highlighting how dramatically things have changed in four years. While Meghan continues public engagements including a solo trip to Geneva, Harry has remained out of sight – even at a recent African Parks fundraiser in Arizona amid scrutiny of the charity.
Ms Elser suggested the Duke may be focusing on home life as “Number One Dad” or keeping his powder dry ahead of the Invictus Games’ return to Britain next year and his ongoing legal case against the Daily Mail.
