A huge fire broke out at a waste facility on Landman Way in Deptford, near Bermondsey, shortly before 8pm on Tuesday.
Here’s what we know:
-Around 50 tonnes of household waste were involved in the blaze.
-15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters responded.
-London Fire Brigade received more than 160 calls reporting the fire.
-Nearby railway lines were closed as a precaution while firefighters tackled the blaze.
-Firefighters brought the fire under control at 2.16am on Wednesday.
-The fire has now been extinguished, although crews remain at the scene damping down.
-The waste facility has been severely damaged.
-A building next to the railway has suffered structural damage, with concerns that corrugated cladding panels could fall onto the tracks.
-Teams are now working to make the area safe.
-The entire Windrush line is now expected to remain suspended until the end of the day.
-The cause of the fire is not yet known.
