Dr Garrison spliced together several recent clips of Mr Trump in a YouTube, video suggesting they displayed “highly concerning behaviour” including “slurring” and “word-finding issues”.
He suggested these could be symptomatic of “significant decline”, adding that the “concerning behaviours we’re seeing are in line with a variety of neurological concerns”.
Clips circulated online also showed him appearing to drift off as his administration revealed changes to its child vaccination policy in February, as well as during a ‘Making Health Technology Great Again’ event at the White House and a cabinet meeting last year.
Mr Trump’s doctors and the White House have repeatedly disputed any suggestion of ill health, however, and insisted he remains in a “perfect” condition.
The president’s physician Sean Barbarella said in May: “President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function.
“His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being.
“Cognitive and physical performance are excellent. He is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
