Amazon Prime Day 2025: 4 Days of Discounts, What Shoppers Need to Know

Amazon is kicking off its biggest Prime Day event yet, extending the popular annual sale from its original one-day format to four full days, running from July 8 through July 11. Now in its second decade, the retail giant is giving shoppers more time to save—not only on tech gadgets and trending items but also on everyday essentials like groceries, cleaning supplies, personal care products, and back-to-school necessities.

More Deals, More Time

With this extended Prime Day, customers can browse millions of deals across more than 35 categories. Amazon states that new deals will be dropping as often as every five minutes during peak shopping periods. Although the company doesn’t publicly reveal exact peak hours, these times generally align with when shoppers are most active: early morning, midday, and evening.

Savings on Household Essentials, Technology

Household products are a major focus this year, with up to 50 percent off floor care brands such as Shark, Dyson, and Bissell. Laundry staples, including Tide and Dawn Powerwash, will be discounted by up to 30 percent, while kitchen items from Vitamix, Our Place, and Bentgo offer savings of up to 40 percent.

On the tech side, there are deals on Amazon devices like the Echo Show 8, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Kindle Colorsoft, and Ring Doorbell, with discounts reaching as high as 50 percent. Other tech accessories, including chargers, portable speakers, and home Wi-Fi systems from Anker and eero, will also be marked down up to 40 percent.

Groceries, Fresh Food Deals

Amazon Fresh shoppers will get $20 off purchases of $75 or more, while Whole Foods customers get an additional 10 percent off hundreds of sale items on top of regular Prime discounts. Members can also try Amazon’s grocery subscription service free for three months, which includes unlimited free delivery on orders of $35 or more.

Health Care, Travel Discounts

Health care perks include a $30 discount on One Medical memberships, lowering the annual fee to $69. This membership offers 24/7 virtual care, same-day appointment scheduling, and prescription management, providing added convenience for busy families.

For food delivery, Prime members can use the code “PRIME50” to receive 50 percent off Grubhub+ orders of $25 or more, saving up to $20.

Travel deals are also a highlight, with up to 30 percent off car rentals, 20 percent off Amtrak coach fares, and savings on hotel bookings and vacation packages. Notably, Carnival Cruise Line bookings offer discounts up to $1,200 per room.

Apparel, Beauty, Baby Essentials

Brands such as Levi’s, Vans, Columbia, and Crocs are up to 50 percent off. Select footwear from Steve Madden and Merrell are also discounted.

Beauty shoppers can save up to 30 percent on personal care brands like CeraVe, Paula’s Choice, Gillette, Dove, and Kiehl’s.

Parents can find up to 30 percent off baby essentials, including Pampers diapers, Owlet baby monitors, and Philips Avent products.

Support for Small Businesses

More than 60 percent of Amazon’s sales come from small businesses, according to the online retailer. Some of the independent beauty brands offering up to 30 percent off include Sweet July, The Lip Bar, and BeautyStat.

“The beauty of Prime Day is in the anticipation and excitement it generates. Customers are actively seeking new brands to try, and as a small business, it has become a moment for customer acquisition. We begin planning for it at the start of each year,” said Ron Robinson, founder of BeautyStat Cosmetics.

Prime Day 2025 is exclusive to Amazon Prime members, which costs about $139 before tax annually. Amazon is offering new customers a free 30-day free trial.
