The Arab Golf Federation is setting an ambitious new benchmark for the development of golf in the region with the launch of its Elite Sports Scholarship Camp. This groundbreaking initiative is dedicated to identifying and nurturing the next generation of Arab golfing talent, providing them with the resources, expertise, and training necessary to compete at the highest levels. By focusing on young athletes, the Federation aims to build a pool of world-class golfers who will represent the Arab world on the global stage, with the ultimate goal of achieving championship-level success by 2035. Through this initiative, the Federation not only creates a pathway for aspiring golfers but also strengthens the foundation for long-term growth and recognition of Arab talent in the international golfing community.

The Arab Golf Federation has unveiled the Elite Sports Scholarship Camp, a groundbreaking initiative designed to nurture the next generation of Arab golf stars. This strategic program aims to equip young golfers with the skills and resources needed to compete at the highest levels of international golf by 2035.

The Elite Camp serves as the inaugural phase of the Federation’s scholarship program, focusing on identifying and selecting top Arab golf talent under the age of 18. The selected players will receive exceptional training opportunities in collaboration with IMG Academy, a renowned name in sports education.

Taking place at Riyadh Golf Club over four days, the camp welcomes 16 promising young golfers, both male and female, who have been carefully chosen based on their performances in regional and international tournaments. These players represent a variety of Arab nations and are regarded for their impressive rankings and achievements.

The camp’s structure consists of two main phases:

Phase One (Days one and two) focuses on both theoretical and practical evaluations. The participants undergo a series of technical tests, physical fitness assessments, mental resilience evaluations, and one-on-one interviews with a specialized assessment team. These evaluations aim to provide a thorough understanding of each player’s abilities and potential.

Phase Two (Days three and four) simulates the pressure of a competitive tournament environment. During this phase, players compete in two full 18-hole rounds, allowing the selection committee to observe their performance under competitive stress. This phase is critical for determining which players will be offered the prestigious academic scholarships.

At the conclusion of the camp, the highest-performing players will be awarded full scholarships to IMG Academy, where they will begin their training in August 2025. The scholarship package includes professional golf coaching, academic support, and access to cutting-edge sports science resources such as strength training, conditioning, and mental coaching.

This initiative is a vital component of the Arab Golf Federation’s larger strategy, which integrates multiple impactful programs to foster the growth of golf talent in the region. With the Elite Sports Scholarship Camp as a cornerstone, the Federation is committed to developing young talent, encouraging collaboration across the region, and establishing a sustainable foundation for future golf success.

The launch of this camp marks the beginning of a new era for Arab golf, one driven by performance, opportunity, and a collective vision for excellence.
