Arnold Schwarzenegger has had many notable co-stars throughout his storied acting career, from starring alongside Danny DeVito in Twins, teaming up with Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies, and joining Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables franchise and later Escape Plan, but he is yet to share the screen with his son Patrick Schwarzenegger and his son-in-law Chris Pratt. He is, however, open to working with the two of them on a future project, provided that one very important stipulation is met (and it’s not about him having a bigger dressing room).
Schwarzenegger set out his requirements for collaborating with his family members while speaking to E! News at the Season 2 premiere of his hit Netflix series FUBAR. He stressed the importance of having a strong story as a starting point for such a project, one that would entice him, his and ex Maria Shriver’s son Patrick, and his son-in-law Chris Pratt, who married his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, before encouraging the powers that be to make it happen. “You don’t have to talk about it, just do it,” he said bluntly, adding:

Netflix’s Action Spy Series Gives Us the Classic Arnold Schwarzenegger We All Need
Netflix’s ‘FUBAR’ is the closest thing to a classic Arnold Schwarzenegger action comedy, and Season 2 is coming soon.
“It’s one of those things that if there’s a great script, then, of course, we would do it. But you can’t just make up this stuff. You can’t just say, ‘OK, let’s just put the three together in a movie and not have a great script.'”
All three actors have been keeping busy in recent years. Arnie stepped out for another mission as CIA operative Luke Brunner in Season 2 of FUBAR, which premiered on Netflix on Jun. 12, and he also has several other projects coming up, including a starring turn as Santa Claus in the Christmas-themed action-comedy The Man with the Bag. His son has a growing list of film and TV credits that includes playing Saxon Ratliff in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, while Pratt followed up his stint as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord in the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy with the Russo brothers’ polarizing Netflix movie The Electric State.
Patrick Schwarzenegger Wants to Star in an Action Movie With His Father
Schwarzenegger (Arnold, that is) addressed the possibility of appearing alongside his son in a future season of The White Lotus, saying, “Whenever I see something good, I am interested in it. So, we will see.” Patrick, however, is keen to work with his father on a project that he is not already part of. He recently explained why he thinks now is the right time for the two of them to star in an action movie together, saying that his recent roles have provided him with the necessary experience and confidence to tackle a big-screen collaborative effort:
“I definitely want to do [an action movie]. I mean, that’s the goal down the road is to do those types of things. I’d love to do that, if it was the right thing. I’ve talked to my dad about it, and I’ve told him I’d love to do that if it was the right thing. I’ve never wanted to, but now I feel like I have some credits under my belt, and that I’ve had some work, and I feel like I’ve gotten to the point where I would feel comfortable working with him.”
More to come…
