Over 100 New Jersey teachers registered for a digital platform designed to promote positive values and clean digital content during the 2025 New Jersey Education Association Convention.
Gan Jing World, an alternative streaming and social media platform—which uses non-addictive algorithms to filter inappropriate content and protect user privacy—joined the convention on Nov. 6 and 7.
The gathering drew educators, families, and representatives from hundreds of organizations focused on education, health, and lifestyle sectors across the state.
Gan Jing World operates several products designed around the principles of safe content consumption. The platform includes GJW+, a general streaming service; Gan Jing Kids, a children’s platform; a cloud service for secure storage; Gan Jing Meeting; and Gan Jing Browser. The platform’s name translates to “clean” in Chinese, reflecting the company’s stated commitment to content free from explicit material.
Gan Jing World’s booth particularly attracted classroom professionals seeking new technological tools. Among them were teachers from Rosewood Elementary and Clinton Public School who registered for premium teacher channels and indicated plans to integrate the platform into their teaching.

The education convention is a tradition spanning more than a century for New Jersey educators, who gather every year for professional development, community building, and lifelong learning. The 2025 event featured keynote speakers including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, discussing universal education rights, and author and activist Padma Lakshmi, speaking about immigration and opportunity.
The event offered hundreds of professional development sessions covering diverse topics such as student engagement strategies, technology integration, and educator well-being.
Director Alex Tsitsilin, known for “The Snow Queen” films, led production on the modern fairy tale centered on a headstrong princess who refuses to await rescue.
“We chose Mina as Gan Jing World’s very first exclusive original film release in North America because its story is full of hope and positive values close to our hearts,” Sherry Yin, CEO of Gan Jing World, said at the New York premiere. “We truly hope this film touches the lives of children and families in a meaningful way—especially at a time when the online environment is overwhelmed with unhealthy content.”
The film’s debut coincided with the official launch of Gan Jing Kids, which is “the safest platform for values-based learning and fun,” according to the company, and employs a triple-layer safety framework for content review.
