West Midlands Ambulance Service has said paramedics were called just before 11am to a concern for a patient’s welfare on Broad Street, adding an ambulance, paramedic officer, and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) are currently in attendance.

HART paramedics are trained and equipped to treat patients in hazardous and high-risk environments.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called shortly after 11am to a concern for a patients welfare on Broad Street, Birmingham. One ambulance, a paramedic officer, and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) are currently in attendance at the scene.”
