Blue Origin’s New Shepard set off from West Texas, Texas, on June 29, launching six passengers into space on a sub-orbital flight that lasted approximately 11 minutes from lift-off to landing.
The six passengers, who included lawyers, a philanthropist, and business leaders, set off at approximately 10:40 am and, within minutes, reached apogee, or peak altitude, where the crew experienced weightlessness.
The flight surpassed the Karman Line, the boundary between Earth and space, at 62 miles above sea level.
The New Shepard capsule touched down in the desert in West Texas roughly 10 minutes after launching.
The company says this launch was its 13th human spaceflight and the 33rd flight for the New Shepard program.
