Brand New Day’ Trailer Leaks Online

Everyone knew that Avengers: Doomsday trailers were going to arrive online as grainy camera footage the moment they began playing in cinemas. No one was expecting that a Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer would be following hot on its heels.

However, in a time when nothing is sacred, it seems that someone has been happy to face a potential lawsuit from Disney after recording an early version of the trailer for Marvel Studios’ summer release. The footage, which is often hard to make out has reportedly come from an app protected by NDAs that allows selected users to view trailers early and give feedback.

The footage includes a voiceover of Tom Holland, who starts the video saying, “Hi, my name is Peter Parker. You don’t remember me, but we used to know each other. Something bad was gonna happen, and the only way to stop it…was to make everyone forget about me. Because I’m not just Peter Parker, I’m Spider-Man. And sometimes, Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”

This all seems like it certainly fits with what happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the place Peter is now in. The trailer also includes audio that seems to Sadie Sink’s character warning Peter to stay away from her, and another audio snippet is believed to be Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Spider-Man arguing. Finally, there are several snippets of unfinished montages showing Spider-Man taking on some of the villains hinted at in casting announcements. The original posts featuring the footage have now been removed.

The internet has been bursting with AI-generated fake trailers and teasers for almost every big upcoming release. This has included many for Doomsday, with some even recreating the grainy cam footage leaks in glorious 4K and making it almost work. From what anyone can tell, this time it is not a fake, but with Sony reportedly adding hidden videos to their Spider-Man: Brand New Day playlist, it may not be long before we do actually get to see the full trailer arriving very soon.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Will Bridge the Gap to ‘Doomsday’

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have not had the easiest relationship when it comes to their joint Spider-Man ventures. There was a time between Far from Home and No Way Home that it looked like Peter Parker’s journey was going to come to a premature end when the companies appeared to be unable to agree on financial terms.

However, that is all in the past, and No Way Home’s mega box office has almost guaranteed that such a problem will not be happening again. Now, Brand New Day will arrive in cinemas in July as the only MCU release before Avengers: Doomsday at the end of 2026, and fans are desperate to see first footage.

In the movie, Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker, who will be joined by Bernthal as The Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Zendaya as MJ, Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III as Tombstone, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Liza Colón-Zayas. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who takes the helm from Jon Watts after he stepped away following the conclusion of his trilogy of Spider-Man movies, with the script being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
