Created by Jeff Trammell, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is a Disney+ original animated series that explores Peter Parker’s (Hudson Thames) origin story and his early days as Spider-Man. However, similar to the various iterations of Spider-Man that Marvel has created, this version takes place in an alternate reality where Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo) becomes Peter’s mentor rather than Tony Stark.
As such, Norman embodies a different role when compared to Tony. Whereas Tony was a bit of a “hero” type for Peter, Norman is not. In fact, Norman’s guidance and advice might not have outcomes that are in the best interest of everyone involved. A series that celebrates the animation of the early comics, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is for both kids and adults. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is streaming on January 29.
