Former U.S. Coast Guard Officer and retired FBI Special Agent Greg Shaffer says Monday’s deadly shooting in Manhattan could have been prevented with advanced AI-based surveillance technology.
Shaffer, who is the Principal and Chief Operating Officer for the Active Shooter Prevention Project, argued that extending surveillance to outer areas with AI could give law enforcement the edge needed to stop an attacker before shots are fired.
