A federal appeals court has upheld a law that could ban TikTok if its China-based parent company, ByteDance, refuses to sell it off. The court dismissed a challenge by TikTok that said a ban would violate Americans’ free speech. The court argued that upholding the ban would also protect the freedom of speech of a foreign adversary nation.
