A “horrific incident” occurred at a Los Angeles-area training facility on Friday that left at least three people dead, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed amid reports of an explosion.
“I just spoke to @USAttyEssayli about what appears to be a horrific incident that killed at least three at a law enforcement training facility in Los Angeles,” Bondi said in a post on X on Friday.
Her comment was reposted by U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, who did not offer a comment, a short while later.
Bondi added that “federal agents are at the scene and we are working to learn more” and called on people to “please pray for the families of the sheriff’s deputies killed.”
Bondi didn’t say what caused the incident, but video footage captured by local news station KTLA 5 TV and NBC Los Angeles shows a LASD vehicle with a shattered rear windshield. A tarp over what appears to be explosive trucks was also visibly damaged.
The Epoch Times has contacted the LASD’s media office for comment.
