In a post shared to Instagram, Mills promised to take fans ‘beyond the boundary’ with coaching, mentoring and ‘unfiltered thoughts’.

His move comes on the eve of the new season of The Hundred, with Mills once again set to appear for the Southern Brave.

The Brave face the Manchester Originals in their opening fixture on Wednesday.

Ahead of that clash, Mills has told talkSPORT all about his surprise OnlyFans arrival.

Appearing on Hawksbee & Townsend on Tuesday, he was asked about his decision to join the site and what he will be posting.

Mills explained: “I’ve been getting plenty of those questions since we announced and launched yesterday. The partnership went live.

“I guess long story short is the company is looking to progress and advance in terms of sport.

“They’ve already got a lot of individual sports stars, tennis players, Nick Kyrgios is on there, UFC fighters, surfers and the like.

“Now they’re making a push into team sports now. So they approached me over the winter. We’ve been in conversations. And here we go, we launched yesterday.”

He continued: “I had to speak to the wife first, first and foremost, and assured her that it’ll just be cricket and lifestyle stuff. But she’s been really supportive.

“Once you actually speak to people and explain what you’re doing, people actually think it makes sense because the platform is perfectly set up for athletes. But as we know, people’s minds sometimes go elsewhere.”

Mills also explained in his announcement he will react to footage sent in by subscribers and share personal moments from his own career.

Why has Tymal Mills joined OnlyFans?

The T20 World Cup winner admitted: “I feel like we often give very manicured and very generic answers and insights in what we see on social media and in interviews.

“But I’m going to try and give a bit more than that and actually talk about what goes on alongside what I’m thinking.

“When I’m bowling certain deliveries, good or bad, give my analysis of how things go and try to be as open and as honest and vulnerable as possible, not just put out the good stuff, but put out the bad side of things as well.

“When you have a bad day, you talk about that as well and how that makes you feel. And then also, there’s great opportunities to have a coaching and mentoring side of things as well and have one on ones.

“Already since launching yesterday I’ve had a lot of messages on the platform straight away from people wanting to get tips and advice on their game.

“They can send in footage and I can look at it and give advice as well. It’s very multifaceted and as you say, a bit of a blank canvas to see what we can do.”

Mills was a member of England’s T20 World Cup-winning side in 2022. and has taken 14 wickets across his 16 international matches.

Away from his England and Sussex commitments, Mills has also featured in the IPL for two separate franchises.

His £1.4million contract with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017 made him the competition’s second highest-paid overseas player.

At the time, only England team-mate Ben Stokes was earning more out of the non-Indian players in the IPL.

Mills was later bought by the Mumbai Indians for the 2022 season.

However, he was unable to help either side to the title during his two campaigns in the league.
