Indiana Republicans will reconvene next month to consider President Donald Trump’s push to redraw the state’s congressional map, according to state lawmakers.
Indiana Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray later announced that his chamber would reconvene on Dec. 8 to “make a final decision” on any redistricting proposal received from the House.
Bray had previously said the Senate would not meet in December because there was not enough support to pass a new map.
“It looks like the Indiana Senate Republicans will be coming back in two weeks to take up Redistricting, a very important initiative to balance out the Democrats’ endless ‘Sue to Blue’ and Census rigging strategy that has stolen seats from Republicans, and given them to Democrats who would not have them if they played fairly,” he stated.
