KRIS Jenner just made a heartfelt birthday post for a lesser known family member who passed away just over a year ago.
Described as “the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny,” the little known Kardashian-Jenner family member would have been celebrating her big day today, alongside Kris and their loved ones.
Kris’s sister Karen Houghton passed away unexpectedly at age 65 last year, sweeping a wave of grief over the Kardashian-Jenner family.
The cause turned out to be a cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac arrhythmia that her loved ones had no way of anticipating.
Though “type 2 diabetes” was also listed on her death certificate as a secondary underlying cause.
Sharing a series of sweet snaps of herself with her sister, Kris penned her birthday wishes for all to see on Instagram.

“Happy heavenly birthday to my beautiful sister Karen,” the star began.
“I think about you every single day… I miss you, I love you, and I know you’re watching over all of us.”
The photos contain a mixture of Kris and Karen together, snaps of Karen on her own and pictures alongside other members of family.
A portrait of Karen wearing a black short sleeved blouse with a white collar particularly stood out to fans, as they noted how similar her features look to the other members of the Kardashian clan.

“She was minced between Kendall and Khloe but very much Kendall… so pretty,” said one user.
“Kendall looks a lot like her aunt!” remarked another, followed by well wishes.
“Nothing like a sister. they are always watching over us.”
It’s the exact same photo Kris posted to Instagram to announce her sister’s passing, along with a lengthy caption pouring with declarations of love.
“It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly,” Kris penned.
“My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time.
“She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together.”
Kris ended the announcement with a note reminding fans to never take their loved ones for granted, as time is far from promised.
“Karen’s passing is a reminder that life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised.
“We must tell those we cherish how much we love them.
