TIKTOK star Malik Taylor, known for his sharp parodic POV clips and sharp takes on pop culture, has died at the age of just 28.

The social media favourite, who graduated from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee in 2020, was remembered by his business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, which confirmed the sad news.

They did not reveal his cause of death.

Taylor built a large following on TikTok and Instagram, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans with his comedic takes on trending topics, such as the drama surrounding a nine-month Caribbean cruise

He also created content for his YouTube channel The Unpopular Party, where he offered offbeat commentary on celebrities and everyday life.

Just last month, he marked his birthday in an Instagram post, joking that he had “Survived the 27 club (Barely).”

In recent weeks, he had moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, a life change he laughed about in what became his final TikTok.

In the video, posted a day before news of his passing, he told fans the “Queen City need the king,” adding: “The Queen City needed a king and I took the throne.”

In their tribute, his former fraternity brothers said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved Brother, Malik Taylor, has gone to ‘Audit Eternal’.”

They added: “To know him was to know he was a light to everyone—always bringing laughter, joy, and a warm smile that brightened every room he entered.”

They continued: “Brother Taylor embodied the values of brotherhood, unity, and compassion.

“His ability to uplift others, share kindness, and spread joy will forever remain in our memories.

“Though your time with us was far too short, you were a good and faithful Brother, and the ‘Great Auditor’ will reward you for your everlasting work.”

The statement concluded: “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who loved him.

“Rest in peace, Malik Taylor, Zeta Phi Chapter Spring 2017. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire us.”

Fans flocked to his latest message, leaving heartfelt tributes.

One commented: “This is genuinely so sad, especially watching his video just days ago.

“He was such an amazing and kind person.”

Another added: “Everyone loved your videos. Rest in peace, Malik.”
