Mr. Teelock brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held senior leadership positions at some of Mauritius’s most prestigious hospitality brands. His extensive background includes a successful six-year tenure as Key Account Manager at Attitude Hotels, where he played a crucial role in expanding international partnerships and developing targeted sales strategies. His ability to foster strong client relationships and create tailored market approaches significantly contributed to the growth of the company during his time there. Prior to this, Mr. Teelock honed his skills as Cluster Sales Executive at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, focusing on high-end clientele and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism. His experience managing luxury properties and understanding the unique needs of high-profile clients positions him well to elevate Mauritius’s tourism offerings.
With a strong focus on sustainability, digital transformation, and market diversification, Mr. Teelock aims to ensure that Mauritius stays ahead of evolving traveler expectations. His appointment aligns with the country’s goal to integrate sustainable practices across its tourism sector while embracing technological advancements to enhance the visitor experience. Mr. Teelock comes with more than ten years of extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality sectors, bringing a fresh and dynamic approach to one of the nation’s most important industries.
Throughout his career, Mr. Teelock has held influential positions with some of Mauritius’s leading hospitality brands. Notably, he was with Attitude Hotels for six years, from 2017 to 2023, where he excelled as the Key Account Manager. In this capacity, he was instrumental in fostering client relationships and leading sales strategies that facilitated international partnerships and regional growth.
Before his tenure at Attitude Hotels, Mr. Teelock worked as a Cluster Sales Executive at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, focusing on the luxury market and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism. His role involved driving sales for several high-end properties while maintaining an unwavering commitment to the luxury clientele.
Mr. Teelock began his professional journey as a Sales and Marketing Executive at Beachcomber Hotels, gaining valuable insights into brand positioning and guest services that would shape his future endeavors.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Language, Business, and Management (Chinese) from the University of Manchester. Fluent in both English and French, and with advanced Mandarin skills, Mr. Teelock is well-positioned to engage with Asia’s growing tourism markets.
