Meghan Markle speaks about ‘natural next step’ as she issues major update to fans | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has issued a new message to her fans as she opened up on the “natural next step” of her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The Duchess of Sussex sent a fresh newsletter to her customers on Thursday evening, speaking about her brand’s latest launch—a 2024 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

As Ever quietly launched the new wine last weekend, along with restocking some of the previously out-of-stock products, the apricot spread and the orange marmalade. The release was somewhat overshadowed by Meghan’s surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week. In her newsletter, Meghan spoke to her fans and said the wine’s release comes at “the right moment”.

She said in the newsletter: “I’m so happy to share this with you — our As ever Sauvignon Blanc is here, and it feels like just the right moment.

“With this long weekend ahead, I’ve been thinking of every table we’ll gather around, every meal shared, every quiet moment in between. The wine is crisp, effortless, and one I hope you’ll reach for again and again.”

She added: “After seeing how much love you gave our Rosé, this felt like the natural next step — a white you can keep chilled, ready to pour when friends show up, or when you just want something easy and beautiful to enjoy. I hope it becomes one of your favourites too. As Ever, Meghan.”

Just like the other As Ever wines, the Sauvignon Blanc comes in batches of three, six and twelve, with each bottle costing £22 ($30) and £68 ($90), £120 ($159) and £226 ($300) in total.

It has an alcohol percentage of 12.5%.

The brand said on its website: “Our first Sauvignon Blanc is bright and balanced, with citrus aromatics, a smooth finish, and refreshing versatility.

“Crafted for everyday dinners and celebratory gatherings alike, this thoughtfully made wine is perfect for sharing, gifting, and savouring in every season.”

It comes just hours before the Duchess of Sussex is set to appear in New York alongside her husband, Prince Harry, so the couple can be awarded for their humanitarian work.
