Monday horse racing tips

  • KEMPTON
    3.15: Bintshuaa 4/1 (1pt)
    4.52: Arabian Poet 9/2 each-way (1pt)
  • WINDSOR
    7.10: Trefor 15/2 each-way (1pt)

Bintshuaa

Kempton hosts an afternoon meeting on Monday today with a few low grade handicaps.

They usually don’t appeal from a betting standpoint but in this race there’s plenty to like about Bintshuaa in what is quite an open race.

A few rivals have actually won last time out but this is likely a deeper race for them now, while Bintshuaa has been consistent in his last two runs going up to 1m including over course and distance.

Only upped 3lb for winning at Ffos Las in June and seems to like the ground (standard to slow) too.

Arabian Poet

Princess Rascal showed promise at Ascot in April before confirming her ability at Salisbury winning a novice event nicely over 1m2f.

Not a bad effort on soft ground either next time out at Windsor considering and she placed a close 2nd in filly company.

This is just her second run for trainer Oliver Cole, though who may need to be watched here rather than backed.

Arabian Poet has drifted a touch to 9/2 and this Dubawi colt ought to improve for trainer Charlie Appleby, stepping into handicap company for the first time.

Showed he could stay 1m4f in a Class 2 novice event last month at Doncaster but this race also looks much easier.

Should benefit further this being his second run since being gelded.

This is quite a wide open Class 2 handicap of 13 runners at Windsor tonight.

The Sprint Series Final handicap over 6f sees the favourite Change Sings at around 4’s but doesn’t really appeal for that price for me.

Badri beat two of these rivals last time out over course and distance, but the weights will sway quite heavily in their favour for this one, despite his 2 length victory that could be enough for at least just one to reverse the placings.

Trefor carries the 2nd most weight in this but has been in great form winning twice already this season.

Under Kieran Shoemark for trainer Charlie Hills and at a great price, he makes great appeal for an each-way bet.
