Bumrah has taken 205 Test wickets in 45 matches as well as starring for Gujarat domestically.
Meanwhile, he won the T20 World Cup with India last year and features in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians.
Despite his ability and accolades, Lloyd believes there is one legendary bowler who stands head and shoulders above the rest.
The former England man highlights the pace and wicket haul of Fred Trueman as the difference between him and Bumrah.
Speaking at the launch of The Overlap and Betfair’s Stick to Cricket show, per Betfair, Lloyd explained: “Jasprit Bumrah is a very good bowler but is he the greatest bowler of all time? No, Fred Trueman.
“Nobody has been as quick as Fred. Who was the first person to get 300 test match wickets? Fred. And he only played 60 test matches.
“I remember one day someone said to him: ‘He’s marvellous this chap (Darren) Gough, he’s rather quick. I think he’s probably the quickest bowler that Yorkshire has produced since the war.’
“Fred just replied with, ‘I can bowl faster than that in my mac and a pair of f****** wellingtons!’”
Trueman holds the distinction of being the first bowler to take 300 Test wickets.
Across just 67 Test matches between 1952 and 1967, the Englishman took 307 wickets.

Meanwhile, he also claimed 2,304 first-class wickets, with the majority coming for Yorkshire.
Trueman sadly passed away aged 75 in 2006 but was later honoured by the ECB.
He was named in England’s all-time greatest Test XI in 2018 ahead of their 1,000th Test match.
Lloyd had witnessed Trueman’s prowess himself before playing nine Test matches for England between 1974 and 1975.
As for Bumrah, the 31-year-old can add to his own legacy during India’s tour of England this summer.
Their five-match Test series is set to get underway in Leeds this week.
The first Test at Headingley starts on Friday, with Bumrah a member of the India squad.
Further Tests are scheduled for Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford and The Oval across July and August.
