Prince William has taken a break from his summer holiday fun to wish the Women Wales rugby team good luck ahead of their game tonight in the Rugby World Cup. The Prince of Wales, 44, took to social media on Saturday morning to send well wishes to the team.

The game tonight will see Wales compete against Scotland. The game is set to begin at 2.45pm and will take place at Salford Community Stadium in Manchester.

While William is not set to be at the game, he is likely to watch it with his immediate family as they carry on enjoying the summer holidays together.

His statement on Saturday comes less than 24 hours after his wife Princess Kate, 44, issued a similar statement to the England Women Rugby team on Friday as they played their first game of the 2025 Rugby World Cup.

In a statement on social media on Friday, Kate – who is patron patron of English Rugby – wrote: “Wishing the Red Roses the very best as they kick off their Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign tonight.

“I look forward to cheering you on and seeing the team rise to the challenge on home soil! C.”

The England team won their opening game of the 2025 tournament yesterday.
