Sarah Ferguson reunited with sister in heartwarming moment after key advice | Royal | News

Sarah, Duchess of York has shared a new video showing the heart-warming moment she surprised her sister, Jane Ferguson, at Crufts. The two sisters share an incredibly close bond, with Sarah previously crediting Jane as being the reason she went for a routine mammogram, which ultimately found that she had breast cancer.

The Duchess shared the video with her 768k followers which shows her peeking around different shop stalls where Jane was selling her LickiMat products for dogs at the world famous show. And it’s clear that fans loved the sweet moment, with one writing: “Oh I love the surprise on Jane’s face.” Another added: “What a wonderful surprise – and what a joyous day.”

Elsewhere in the video, the Duchess takes a moment to praise the National Foundation for Retired Service Animals (NFRSA) in her role as Patron, writing in the caption: “Nothing better than combining family time and championing deserving animals who’ve served us so selflessly.”

The Duchess’ reunion with Jane came after she spoke out about her diagnosis on her Podcast Tea Talks With the Duchess and Sarah and explained that Jane had forced her to go for her mammogram, after she almost gave her routine appointment a miss.

She said: “It was after a bank holiday…and it was a hot day, I didn’t feel like going to London. It’s easy to put it off.”

Sarah continued: “I always normally do what she says because she gets so cranky. She said, ‘No, go. I need you to go.’”

Jane, who lives in Australia with her partner Ramin Marzbani, and Sarah – have always been exceptionally close. The girls were raised by their dad Major Ronald Ferguson, after he and their mum Susan Barrantes separated, and they have both spoken publicly about their strong bond.

Sarah has previously paid tribute to Jane on social media, and on National Siblings Day she said, “There is nobody like my @janeferguson7. She is a dream of a sibling (not a pain!) My sister makes my world so bright and I somehow accept when she says I am not right!

“Today is National Sibling Day and I raise a toast and am happy to boast that my sister is the finest in the land. So thank you my dearest Jane I stand and applause with both my hands … Love you Jane #sisters.” Jane responded with, “Bless you my dearest sister Sarah, how kind and generous with your words. No one more fairer.”
