Saturday horse racing tips
- CHESTER
2.10: Entailed (1pt) - SANDOWN
2.25: Blue Bolt 11/2 each-way (1pt)
3.00: Castle Cove 9/2 (1pt)
Entailed
Won at Sandown to shed her maiden tag and then stepped into listed company at Newbury a couple of weeks ago.
Wasn’t disgraced at all back in sixth and steps up to 6f today which should spark more from this, given her pedigree and trainer’s form.
Blue Bolt
The Group 3 Atalanta Stakes over 1m features 14 runners at Sandown.
Blue Bolt looks a great prospect after winning three in a row including here, also over 1m.
She beat Cajole by a length and looks even better than that still, winning with relative ease.
That filly would also make a great place bet considering her form but is yet to really show she’s able to grind out the wins necessary to win a race like this.
Cathedral might be one to consider for those who want to side with those proven on this soft ground having placed second in Group 3 company in France last month.
Castle Cove
Dangerman won here twice now in a row and looking to make it a treble over course and distance in the space of just over a month.
But he’s still only three-years-old and needs a lot more upped 9lb despite how comfortable his wins have been.
Castle Cove has got form on soft ground, winning at Chester in June and comes into this after a reasonable effort at Goodwood.
Back to soft ground will suit and William Haggas and Tom Marquand keep finding winners together.
