President Donald Trump has set off to Malaysia for the first stop of his week-long Asia tour. During the trip, he’ll be meeting with key U.S. trade partners and other global leaders, including China’s leader Xi Jinping. What are his goals and how will they impact his overall trade and national security strategy? NTD spoke with retired U.S. Marine Colonel Grant Newsham, who was the first U.S. Marine liaison officer to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
