The Senate will vote this Thursday on the Democrats’ proposal to address the Affordable Care Act COVID-era subsidies.
The vote was a commitment Republicans made to Democrats in order to have a small group of Democrats vote to reopen the government.
Democrats maintain their demands that caused the longest government shutdown in American history. Their proposal to address the expiring health care tax credits is expected to fail again as lawmakers rush to find a compromised solution.
