Tuesday horse racing tips

  • FFOS LAS
    2.15: Kingdom Of Stars 9/4 (1pt)
    3.45: Papabella 7/1 each-way (1pt)
  • NEWBURY
    6.05: Miss Cartesian 11/8 (1pt)

Kingdom Of Stars

Road To Wembley, owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, has yet to win on turf but has gone close on two occasions.

He’s very well suited to 1m6f and has had a busy 2025 campaign with eight runs already, five of which have come on the all-weather, but just the one win.

Kingdom Of Stars has drifted fairly consistently but the non-runners may have something to do with that opening up the race a bit.

He too hasn’t won on turf before, but is very much unexposed compared to these.

This season especially with four runs, he’s been close up each time and got a deserved win at Kempton last time out.

Only upped 3lb for it and is thriving now running over these 1m6f-2m trips, the only concern would be handling the turf like he has been the all-weather surfaces.

Papabella

Course and distance winner with solid form this season aside from a ninth placed effort in July, but that was when she was running too free, according to Rob Hornby after the race.

He is on board again this time after taking her a short head second back in April so knows how to get this horse challenging.

In fact, she’s often up there at the finish and makes a great each-way bet with her consistency in her last nine runs – placing in the top three four times and winning three of those.

Miss Cartesian

Always worth following in these Ralph Beckett-trained three-year-olds that are performing well.

He’s in great form himself going into this too so really makes the 11/8 look like more value to me.

This Kodiac filly won on step up to 7f for the first time at Newmarket in June and with just a 5lb raise sets the standard for what should be another good show of her progress.
