After some speculation from various sources, The White Lotus Season 4 has been confirmed to start shooting in France, at a 19th-century site which has been turned into a luxurious hotel. That hotel – which will soon become part of the chain where the wealthy always seem to see their lives take a turn – is the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez on the Côte d’Azur.
As reported by Variety, while it hasn’t been confirmed by HBO, Season 4 will apparently see its cast staying at the extremely fancy hotel, as well as other locations across the French Riviera. An Instagram post by the hotel’s account seems to tease the use of the location for a film or TV project: “This isn’t a movie set — it’s Château de la Messardière. The final clap echoes, the sun sets, and the curtain closes on another unforgettable season. From golden moments to star-studded nights, relive the best of what made this summer iconic. Until next season… the stage is set, and we’re already counting down.”

Sources say that production will run from April through October 2026. It has also been rumored that, given the locations, Season 4 could see the Cannes Film Festival play some sort of role. Considering the show’s overall tendency to mock the antics of the wealthy characters who filter through White Lotus resorts, this is entirely possible.
Who’s Starring in ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4?
The following contains spoilers for The White Lotus. In addition to its twisted narratives, The White Lotus is known for its star-studded ensembles. Every season has seen the cast change, with only a few performers returning to reprise their roles. Jennifer Coolidge played the colorful Tanya McQuoid in Seasons 1 and 2. Natasha Rothwell portrays Belinda Lindsey, who, after a minor role in Season 1, saw marked development in Season 3. Her storyline could see her return in Season 4, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Jon Gries, who played Greg Hunt in Seasons 1 through 3, is another recurring cast member.
Season 4 is still adding actors. While Helena Bonham Carter (Sleepy Hollow, Fight Club), Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games, Vikings, Bad Boys: Ride or Die) and AJ Michalka (The Lovely Bones, The Goldbergs, Secretariat) are being eyed as part of the new players for Season 4, the show has yet to round out its complete cast. Since Season 4 will take place in France, the casting team is studying the possibility of adding known French actors to the ensemble.
Again, we should expect some familiar faces to pop up in Season 4, as creator Mike White’s show is known for luring major stars. Since Season 1, it’s featured Sydney Sweeney, Michael Imperioli, Aubrey Plaza, F. Murray Abraham, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Theo James, Scott Glenn, and Sam Rockwell, among others.
