‘Royals live in fear about what could come out about Prince Andrew’ | Royal | News

The Royal Family reportedly “live in fear” of what revelations could come out about Prince Andrew, a royal expert has said. Over the last few years, the Duke of York, 65, seems to have been somehow involved in scandal after scandal.

While he is still a member of the Royal Family, he is no longer a working royal, having stepped back from public duties in 2019. This came about after his disastrous Newsnight interview which addressed his past friendship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Since then, Andrew – who also stopped using His Royal Highness title – has seen his public image decline, causing him to retreat almost fully from public life.

Although he is sometimes spotted out with the Royal Family, for example at Easter, Andrew tends to spend most of his time shut away at his Royal Lodge Windsor home.

The Royal Family also tend to not mention him publicly, with one royal expert saying they fear what could come out about him.

Journalist Richard Eden discussed this in a new TV documentary, and said: “Who knows what could come out? I think the Royal Family still lives in fear, frankly, of what could come out.”

This comment comes after a bombshell new book about the duke by Andrew Lownie called Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.

This book has been followed by a Channel 5 documentary called “Andrew & Fergie: The Duke and Duchess of Excess”.

Both the documentary and book contain bombshell claims about Andrew, including about his actions, controversial connections and spending habits.

The Duke of York has not responded to any claims made in the book or documentary.
