Meghan Markle’s quieter life in the UK is part of a plan to upstage Princess Catherine, an insider has claimed. She was allegedly advised to become “less accessible” to build intrigue around her life and boost her profile.
Speaking to media outlet Woman’s Day, the source claimed the Duchess was “leaning into” this strategy and hoped it would boost her As Ever brand, which sells jams and honeys. They claimed: “She is deliberately biding her time and staying out of sight intentionally, but she’s also got plenty of things keeping her busy. When she does start stepping out more, the hope is that she’ll have built up enough anticipation that people will be excited to see her, rather than having her everywhere right away and the public getting sick of her.”
The Sussexes have made it clear their priority is privacy in the UK, having already moved their children, Archie and Lilibet, to a different school, and kept the region of their new home strictly under wraps. It was understood that the commute to the first school made them “sitting ducks” in traffic. The source claims that once Meghan is back in the spotlight, she hopes for a “fantastic reception” to outshine her sister-in-law. They added: “Make no mistake, that is the goal”.
