Monday horse racing tips
- WINDSOR
2.32: Hilitany 11/10 (1pt)
5.34: Rage Of Thunder 10/1 each-way (1pt) - PERTH
2.40: King Roly 11/8 (1pt)
3.10: The Last Cloud 5/4 (1pt)
Hilitany
This George Boughey two-year-old scored nicely on his second career run last time out at Windsor, 42 days ago and looks the best of the horses in the lineup comfortably.
Poison Arrow is the closest in the betting despite making his debut but has come in nicely this morning from around 15/2 yesterday to 6/1.
The Dark Angel colt cost £170,000 as a yearling and does make this a little interesting.
But the experience, notably the course and distance experience, of Hilitany should see him come through under Billy Loughnane.
Rage Of Thunder
Gary & Josh Moore-trained three-year-old who’s been very consistent over the summer.
Comes back to Windsor after placing second here over 6f in July coping well with stepping up in class in each of his last three runs, starting with a win at Salisbury.
Ought to keep improving, interesting with many paying extra places each-way.
King Roly
Six-year-old that’s just getting going over fences and his win last time out over course and distance made it 2-3 chasing.
He’s only got improvements to come and the win which came against Garde Des Champs was encouraging where he was sent off in pursuit of the reappearing rival making up ground quickly to snatch the win in the last few yards.
Garde Des Champs would be a great bet but his lack of wins over fences is concerning.
He’s only won over fences once in 17 chase attempts, with four 2nd place finishes and five 3rd place finishes.
The last two runs are a significant improvement for him but King Roly is the clear pick.
The Last Cloud
Scooted clear over course and distance in each of his last two hurdle contests in the summer and is back now looking to build on this strong form.
Likable grey gelding by Cloudings who has Brian Hughes on board again who gets a great tune out of the five-year-old.
