Kyle Chrisley, the son of reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, has been charged with multiple offenses after allegedly assaulting three deputies who were responding to a domestic assault call in Tennessee on Dec. 20.
A Rutherford County Sheriff’s supervisor said Kyle Chrisley, 34, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was charged with three counts of felony retaliation for past actions, three counts of felony assault on first responders, misdemeanor domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
“Deputies responded to a call after Chrisley’s wife called dispatchers to report her husband was being belligerent and walking down the middle of Burleson Lane while she followed him in her car,” Rutherford County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brady Greene told NTD.
Neither Kyle Chrisley nor his wife responded to requests for comment. Ashleigh Chrisley told New York Post on Dec. 22 that her husband had a knife that he carries for work but he did not pull it out or brandish it.
Kyle Chrisley appeared on two episodes of the hit USA Network reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” which documented his parents Todd and Julie Chrisley’s celebrity lifestyle and family dynamics until they were incarcerated three years ago for bank fraud and tax evasion.
Three deputies suffered injuries in the alleged assault.
“When attempting to speak with Mr. Chrisley, he became immediately aggressive, charged at deputies and began to throw punches and assault deputies,” Greene said. “After a physical altercation and deployment of Oleoresin Capsicum [pepper] spray, Mr. Chrisley was taken into custody.”
Chrisley and his wife, Ashleigh, previously filed a $2 million lawsuit against the county and two law enforcement officials after Chrisley’s Sept. 9, 2024, arrest for alleged aggravated assault, for which a jury trial is set for May 11, 2026.
The lawsuit alleges that “a disgruntled mechanic, angry over a payment dispute, showed up uninvited, kicked at their doors, threatened violence, and used his car as a weapon by ramming their SUV and nearly running Kyle over in front of multiple neighbors.”
When contacted by NTD, Clark declined to comment on Chrisley’s arrest this week.

Julie and Todd Chrisley were serving federal prison sentences until President Donald Trump pardoned them in May.
Trump, who said he had heard about their case but did not know them personally, said their “pretty harsh treatment” relative to their crimes were the reason for his decision. The couple had argued in their pardon petition that they had received unfair prosecution, alleging government misconduct including an illegal raid, tainted evidence, false witness testimony, and political bias against their conservative views.
Prosecutors at the couple’s 2022 trial said the couple fraudulently obtained bank loans worth millions of dollars and hid their earnings from tax enforcement while spending on luxury cars, designer clothes, real estate, and leisure travel.
