Royal fans convinced Princess Charlotte has joined mum Kate for special Christmas surprise | Royal | News

Royal fans are convinced Princess Charlotte is the one playing in a duet on the piano with mum Princess Catherine after Kensington Palace’s latest tease about the Together at Christmas carol service, which will air tonight on ITV. Kensington Palace teased a major new addition to this year’s Christmas carol concert which will air tonight, after taking place at Westminster Abbey in London on December 5.

The Palace shared a new photograph and a new short clip on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official X account. The first post showed a piano and featured a cryptic message, which only read: “piano keys and music note emojis”.

The second post, a short 10-second clip, showed two pairs of hands playing it. One pair appeared to be the future Queen’s, who is wearing her stunning sapphire engagement ring, while the other pair of hands is unknown.

The Princess of Wales has previously played during her festive service.

Now royal fans are convinced it is Catherine’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, who will be making a surprise appearance at tonight’s broadcast of the festive service.

One user wrote on X: “Wait, is that Princess Charlotte? The Waleses seem intent on breaking the internet until the end of the year and I’m here for it.”

Another one added: “Those pink hearts are giving me Princess Charlotte vibes omg if we are right.. it will be absolutely beautiful and it will definitely be one of my all time favorite royal moments.”

A third one agreed, saying: “Yesss it would be INCREDIBLE!”

A fourth one said: “If this is Princess Catherine with Princess Charlotte… I’m going to scream!!”

A fifth one said: “For sure Charlotte.” A sixth one wrote: “I think it’s Charlotte!”

Charlotte knows how to play the piano as her mum revealed a couple of years ago.

In 2023, Catherine told pianist Lang Lang that her then-eight-year-old daughter was learning how to play the piano.

The future Queen played piano as a child and played publicly for the first time during her first Christmas carol service in 2021.

On December 8, during the inaugural Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, Catherine surprised guests by playing the piano while accompanying Tom Walker, who sang his song For Those Who Can’t Remember.

Catherine played the piano again in 2023, during the Eurovision final.

The Royal Carols: Together at Christmas special will air on tonight at 7.25pm on ITV and ITVX.
