One person has been killed, and another is fighting for their life after a serious crash in Salford, Greater Manchester. A stretch of Cadishead Way has been shut off by police officers after the incident. It’s closed near the junction with Fairhills Road and the Irlam Locks, with a massive cordon in place.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the death of one person, while another is seriously injured. The force said on social media: “#INCIDENT | We are currently attending a road traffic collision on #Cadishead Way. Roads are closed in both directions. Please avoid the area where possible. An update will be provided.”
