Iglesias, 82, is the father of multi-millionaire pop legend Enrique Iglesias.

Spanish prosecutors confirmed today they were investigating a formal complaint made to the Audiencia Nacional court in Madrid against the singer and tow of his mansions’ supervisors.

The women’s complaint alluded to incidents that could constitute crimes including sexual harassment and sexual assault, injuries and offences against workers’ rights “by imposing abusive working conditions”.

A prosecution spokesman at the Audiencia Nacional said: “Preliminary criminal investigation proceedings have been initiated, which, as you know, are confidential.

The two victims of his alleged abuse spoke to elDiario.es under the aliases Laura and Rebeca.

One worked as a cleaner. The other was a physiotherapist.

They claim the abuse happened in 2021 at Iglesias’ sprawling mansions in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Lyford Cay in the Bahamas.

At the time, Iglesias was 77 and married to 55-year-old Dutch model Miranda Rijnsburger, while his younger accuser was only 22.

The women claim they were asked for photos of their faces and full bodies by the person handling Iglesias’ recruitment.

They say Iglesias then bombarded them with invasive questions such as: “Do you like women?”, “Do you like threesomes?”, “Have you had breast surgery?” before touching them inappropriately.

In her account to elDiario.es, Rebeca alleged she was subjected to forceful penetrations which “caused her a lot of pain”.

She said it made her think: “I’m your robot, your slave, your doll”.

She also claimed there were physical assaults and threesomes involving female supervisors after she was given wine and tequila.

Iglesias allegedly made her pleasure him for hours to ease back pain linked to a car crash decades ago that damaged his spine and ended a promising footballing career.

She said she was not allowed a boyfriend while working for the singer and had to hand over her phone so her boss could comb through her WhatsApp messages.

After quitting the job, Rebeca was diagnosed with dysthymic depression by a neuropsychologist.

Laura claimed that Iglesias bragged about the sexual acts he allegedly forced on Rebeca.

She added: “He always made these kinds of comments and then said it was a joke.”

Laura said she was recruited after receiving a phone call from a man with a heavy Spanish accent who told her: “This is Julio Iglesias speaking, are you ready for your life to change?”

She said he was friendly initially, but began humiliating her soon after.

After only a fortnight in the job, Laura claimed Iglesias ordered her to show him her breasts and probed her on whether they were natural or “surgically enhanced”.

She initially refused, but claims she was insulted into submission.

She alleged the behaviour worsened, but said it did not escalate to full sex.

Iglesias has not responded to claims published by elDiario.es, who conducted a three-year investigation with US Spanish-language broadcaster Univision.

Iglesias and his lawyers were asked to comment before publication.

Both accusers later sought legal advice and were referred to an international human rights organisation, according to elDiario.es.

The outlet added that they contacted 15 former staffers who worked for the alleged perv between the late 1990s and 2023 in the singer’s homes in the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Spain.

They claim the two women’s accounts have remained consistent throughout and that they are supported by extensive photographs, call logs, WhatsApp messages, visas, medical reports, and other documents.

A reporter added that more explosive allegations related to the veteran singer are yet to come.

One of Iglesias’ home supervisors rubbished Rebeca’s allegations, calling them “nonsense”.

She added: “I only have gratitude, admiration and respect for the great artist and human being Julio Iglesias is.

“He is humble, generous, a great gentleman, and very respectful to women.”

Iglesias has long boasted about his reputation as a womaniser.

In 2014, he snapped at a journalist who compared Enrique’s love life to his own, saying: “No way. I’ve been the champion. He might sing better than me but when it comes to women he’s come nowhere near me.”

Asked about claims he had slept with more than 3,000 women, he once joked: “That probably was until 1976, so they didn’t count the other women.”

In recent years, Iglesias has also faced legal action from a man claiming to be his son with a Portuguese dancer.
