Atlantic-crossing couple Prince Harry and Meghan’s return to Britain “won’t make any difference” in repairing a rift with Prince William and Kate, a friend of the latter pair claims. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, returned to the UK last week to begin a new life after six years living in the US.
The family is said to be settling in the UK for an “extended period” of time amid speculation as to how long they will stay and where they will live, with the Cotswolds being suggested as the most likely destination. It’s understood the couple will not return to being working royals.
Before their surprise return, Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, visited King Charles at his High Grove residence in Gloucestershire in a sign seen by some of healing damage reportedly done to the relationship with the Royal Family by the Sussexes’ frequent media appearances and Harry’s tell-all book, Spare.
But a friend close to Prince William, 44, and Kate, 44, told the Mail: “It makes no difference if Harry and Meghan are in Oxfordshire, California or Timbuktu.
“William and Catherine will continue their lives of public service. They intend to lead by example.”
