Harry’s biggest appearance will likely be the One Year To Go event for the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year. He is expected bring his family, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with him, for the first time in four years. The last time Harry brought his family back home was in 2022, for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The Sussex couple also came back a few months later to attend the late monarch’s funeral.
Harry’s return comes amid speculation about a possible meeting with his father, King Charles, which could help pave the way for future reconciliation.
The duke has been estranged from his royal relatives since quitting the Firm six years ago.
But there is one royal Harry will likely not meet, his brother, Prince William.
The Prince of Wales is said to be adamant in not meeting with his brother, with sources claiming he will likely be miles away during the bombshell trip.
Veteran royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes there is a reason behind William’s reluctance to meet his brother.
He told the Daily Express: “William won’t want to meet Harry, certainly not on this occasion.”
He added: “He feels betrayed and doesn’t trust him.”
The Duke of Sussex made a number of claims about William, particularly in his explosive memoir, Spare, which was released in 2023.
Among the claims is one about a physical alteration between the two, before Megix.
The Prince of Wales has not commented on the claims.
Mr Fitzwilliams said there is only one instance in which the two feuding brothers could meet.
He explained: “You can never say never. If this visit had been arranged without publicity, it would have been a sign that they might have changed, as opposed to the world watching and vast publicity.”
