AlhendÃn, a municipality of about 11,000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area of Granada, was the epicentre of the earthquake overnight.
Yet, the tremor didn’t cause structural damage to properties, according to an official.Â
The Councillor for Citizen Security, Mariano del RÃo, said there is fear of following up tremors but there has not been significant damage so far.
“People took to the streets, and they did so calmly and in an orderly fashion,” Del RÃo explained.
