A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after police were called to reports of a serious assault on North Hill, Plymouth this evening. Pictures show multiple police vehicles at the scene, with a large cordon also in place.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We were called to reports of a serious assault on North Hill, Plymouth at around 7.20pm on Tuesday 15 September. It was reported that a man sustained life changing injuries and has been taken to hospital. A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He remains in police custody. Emergency services are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”
