Best easy access savings accounts paying up to 5% interest rates – top 5 | Personal Finance | Finance

The best easy-access savings account has been revealed, with the top deal offering customers up to 5% interest. Comparison site Moneyfacts has made a ranking of the UK’s best savings accounts for 2026, based on AER.

Interest rates on these accounts may change, but they are appealing for individuals who want the flexibility to access their money. Typically, you can withdraw funds at any time without penalties. Most accounts allow unlimited withdrawals; however, some may limit withdrawal frequency in exchange for a higher interest rate, so it’s important to check the fine print.

Topping the list of top easy access accounts at the time of writing is LemFi’s Instant Access Savings Account. It offers 5% AER for six months, then reverts to 3.04% AER. The account can be opened with £1 minimum, and can hold up to £250,000. Customers must be 18 and over.

Placing just behind is Zopa’s Limited Access Pot. It offers 4.56% AER for 12 months, then reverts to 3.51%. The higher rate only applies to savings of between £1 and £50,000, though the account has a maximum investment of £250,000.

In third place is Tembo Money’s HomeSaver with an AER of 4.55%. The rate includes 1.55% bonus for 12 months, and interest can be paid monthly. The account requires a minimum opening deposit of £10, and up to £20,000 can be saved overall. Withdrawals are penalty-free.
