‘Bob’s Burgers’ Eugene Mirman Suffers Significant Injuries in Dangerous Car Crash

Eugene Mirman, known for his work on the hit animated series Bob’s Burgers, has been hospitalized after suffering serious injuries from a fiery car crash. Reports so far have not revealed the specific injuries Mirman suffered, nor have they revealed what condition he is in at the hospital, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Mirman was pulled out of his vehicle, a 2026 Lucid Gravity, after crashing into the Bedford Toll Plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford, New Hampshire, on Tuesday afternoon. The car then burst into flames as Mirman was trapped inside.

As of writing, no charges have been filed for the accident, and the local police continue to investigate the crash (via Deadline). State Police Col. Mark B. Hall released a statement after the accident praising the first responders, saying, “Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did.” He concluded his statement by saying, “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”

Alongside H. Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, Dan Mintz, Larry Murphy, and more, Mirman provides his voice to the beloved Gene Belcher, the middle child and only son of the Belcher family. Only 11 years old, he shares certain traits with both of his parents, often providing comic relief by making hilarious double entendres or relevant cultural references. Working at the restaurant with his family, he advertises for the establishment by wearing a massive burger costume, and he often pulls extra duty as a server as well.

Mirman also has a few big live-action credits on his resume, including a four-season run on an Adult Swim sitcom titled Delocated. Starring alongside Jon Glaser, the show’s creator and leading star, Mirman played a character named Yvgeny Mirminsky, an incompetent Russian hit man and stand-up comedian who is ordered to take out Glaser’s “Jon.” While he earns a decent share of recognition from fans, his stand-up act only revolves around one topic — vodka.

Mirman has a laundry list of other credits on his resume, including Flight of the Conchords, Lucy: The Daughter of the Devil, and Archer, although he is best known for his work in over 300 Bob’s Burgers episodes. He also joined Eric Kripke’s The Boys universe in 2022, with a voice-over role in the animated The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

MovieWeb sends its best wishes to Eugene Mirman during this difficult time for a speedy recovery.
