The Met Police confirmed a “false alarm” after passengers were asked to evacuate Terminal 3 at London Heathrow Airport following reports of a suspicious package being found.
Air Live reported that the issue is in the baggage reclaim area of T3 directly below the airside restaurants and shops. The Daily Express has contacted London Heathrow Airport for more information. Police were reportedly investigating the package and images of police tape inside the terminal have been shared online.
A spokesporson from the airport confirmed that part of the terminal was evacuated as a precaution, but the issue “has now been safely resolved”.
