The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has now reached its pinnacle, with the two sides constantly exchanging fiery accusations.
Actor-director Justin Baldoni’s legal team has suggested they would highlight what they describe as a ‘pattern of bullying’ by Blake Lively in their countersuit.
This happens in the aftermath of Lively filing a complaint against her ‘It Ends with Us’ co-star and director alleging sexual harassment and orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign. She has also accused Baldoni’s team of launching ‘attacks’ following the lawsuit.
Details were first made public in a New York Times article after which Baldoni sued the newspaper for libel and false-light invasion of privacy.
Baldoni’s legal team, led by attorney Bryan Freedman, has now hinted at a countersuit, claiming a ‘pattern of bullying’ by Blake Lively.
Freedman told NBC News last week that Baldoni plans to countersue Lively and release every single text message between the two of them. He called Lively’s accusations an ‘orchestrated attack’.
From what we know, the countersuit hasn’t been filed as yet.
The public legal battle stemmed from the sets of It Ends With Us. Lively plays Lily Bloom in the film while Baldoni, who directed, stars as Ryle Kincaid, her abusive partner.
Rumours of an on-set feud had been in the air for long. The pair even appeared to avoid each other during the film’s promotional tour.
