The Prince of Wales has donated £5,000 to a sheep farmer and his bid to raise awareness of rural mental health.
Sam Stables, from Herefordshire, is a Duchy of Cornwall tenant and founder of the We Are Farming Minds charity.
He is walking 142 miles from Ross‑on‑Wye to London in a bid to “Shine a national spotlight on the immense pressures farmers face every single day” and raise funds for the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs.
Sam, who said he was “over the moon” with William’s gesture, took to his Instagram account on Wednesday to post a new video and share the exciting news.
